Medtronic recently sent a letter to doctors with important information regarding their Sprint Fidelis defibrillation leads.

If you have a Sprint Fidelis lead, your Patient ID card should contain one of the following 4 sets of numbers: 6930, 6931, 6948, 6949. These numbers may be shown at the beginning of a longer set of numbers on your ID card.

The letter advises patients who have a Spint Fidelis lead to contact their medical doctors with any questions they may have. The letters sent directly to doctors were more detailed so that they may manage patient care in the most effective way possible taking into consideration the patient's specific health considerations.

If you have additional questions or would like to inquire if you have a Sprint Fidelis lead, please contact Medtronic Patient Services at 1 (800) 551-5544 x41835 (7am to 9pm CST).
