Medtronic Must Resolve FDA Issues To Launch New Devices

Before Medtronic can launch new defibrillators and pacemakers it needs two different clearances from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). They hope to do so in the coming months.

The agency must approve any pending applications for heart devices before the company can being selling them. But first the FDA has to re-inspect the medical device maker's headquarters in Minnesota to see if the company has fixed problems outlined by the agency last November.
