Medtronic's Reveal DX insertable cardiac monitor (ICM) recently received Japanese approval as a high-priority medical device and is one of the first ever insertable cardiac monitor to be introduced in Japan.
The Reveal DX ICM lends understanding into unexplained fainting episodes also known as syncope.
After the device acquires insurance reimbursement, Medtronic Japan will start marketing the Reveal RX ICM device.
The company is set to partner with Asahi Kasei for exclusive sales distribution rights in Japan; Medtronic Japan will serve as the devices designated marketing authorization holder.
