Medtronic Inc., Minneapolis based medical device maker, recently announced plans to begin international marketing of its Endurant Stent Graft in July.

Used for endovascular aortic repair, the stent graft received European regulatory approval last week.

The company also announced it has started the first implants of the stent graft in a U.S. clinical trial. The FDA first approved the Endurant stent graft in June under an investigational device exemption.

The clinical trial aims to measure the device's safety and effectiveness in the endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms, according to a news release by Medtronic.
